Lux Carbon was founded to raise the integrity standard of the voluntary carbon market. It certifies projects that generate real, measurable impact: in forest conservation, in community development and in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

To be a reference in transparency in carbon credit certification, and to ensure the accuracy of the projects it certifies. The carbon market can be a sound economic pillar for Brazil, with the UN Sustainable Development Goals as its reference.
How we work
Every stage has a name.
Every credit issued by Lux Carbon carries recorded names: the lead auditor and the responsible technical professional. This is not internal control — it is in the public registry, beside the project, and anyone can check it.
- Whoever verifies is not whoever certifies.
- Field verification is carried out by an accredited external entity — on the projects already certified, BIOSOLAR Soluções Ambientais and DP Forest. Lux Carbon runs the process; the party that attests is a third party, named in the public registry.
- Seven stages, each one with a date.
- From registration to the credit entering the registry, every stage has someone responsible and a date. The history stays open — including that of projects still under way, with the stages still missing in plain sight.
- The council reviews, but does not operate.
- External specialists assess methodology and review criteria. They are not part of the operation and take no part in the issuance decision. That separation is what keeps the review independent.
- Our communication is audited too.
- In August 2026 the external institutional communication process went through an internal audit, assessed against the ICVCM Core Carbon Principles, ISO 9001 and principle 5 of the LCS001 standard — transparency and free access to information.
